Fredin Brothers was founded in 1976 by Merlin Fredin and his sons Curt, Jeff and Scott as Springfield Stockyards in Springfield, Minnesota, mainly buying and selling feeder pigs and cattle to local southern Minnesota farmers. Jumping forward to today, we’re proud to be involved in nearly every aspect of beef production from Cow/Calf to Processing.

We’re blessed to have a 3rd generation excited to be involved. Curt's sons Mitch and Mason and Jeff's daughter Connie, are all involved in the family business. This brings together a unique blend of knowledge, experience and leadership combined with energy, eagerness and new ideas.
Buying and selling feeder cattle is the heart of our business, accounting for most of our sales. These cattle are purchased throughout the United States and shipped to our customers. We can handle all of the logistics. For over 49 years we’ve continued to focus on satisfying the customer’s needs and wants – customer satisfaction is what we strive for. With over 150 years of combined experience, extensive industry knowledge, quality service, and buyers throughout the country, we are ready to serve you – the customer.
Beef Corp is our in-house trucking division and dispatch service. We currently run our own fleet of 25 trailers, dispatch all of Fredin Brothers cattle, as well as dispatch many outside loads. Having this in-house trucking service allows us to track, communicate, and coordinate all deliveries throughout the US and Canada.
